Currently available to the wise investor are several  higher yield alternatives to the regular share account.  Called "Share Certificates" and insured, along with other share balances, to $250,000 by NCUA, the following investment options can be chosen:

  1. 6 month Certificate - dividends paid at maturity
  2. 12 month Certificate - dividends compounded quarterly
  3. 18 month Certificate - dividends compounded quarterly
  4. 24 month Certificate - dividends compounded quarterly
  5. 48 month Certificate - dividends compounded quarterly
