Effective 11/1/2021 the following change to the York Educational Federal Credit Union fee schedule will be implemented.
What is changing?
We are implementing a new $1.00 a month paper statement fee for members who wish to continue to receive paper statements.
Due to the increasing external costs of processing mail and postage we’ve made a significant investment in technology to provide York Educational Federal Credit Union members with the tools needed to seamlessly perform most banking activities online. This includes viewing e-Statements, transferring funds, and paying bills. We did this with a goal of providing even more member convenience, while reducing overall cost to the credit union. As a result, we will be charging a $1.00 monthly fee to recoup the cost of the paper and postage for all members who choose to continue to receive paper statements. In addition to reducing operating costs and being more eco-friendly, e-Statements also provide many significant member benefits. This includes enhanced security, immediate and constant availability, convenient access, and reduced clutter. In addition to receiving statements electronically, members also have the option within Online Banking to receive e-Notices which provide an even greater convenience and time savings.
How can you avoid this fee?
If not already enrolled in e-Statements, there are two actions that members can take to avoid this new $1.00 monthly paper statement fee.
- If you’re already an Online Banking user, but haven’t yet enrolled in e-Statements, log into online banking and follow the instructions to enroll in e-Statements.
- If you are not already an Online Banking user, go to www.yefcu.org and follow the instructions to enroll in Online Banking. Once successfully enrolled, follow the instructions to enroll in e-Statements.
